Putin signed the “Terrorism Counteraction” law
The President Press Service informs that Vladimir Putin signed the pact on “Terrorism Counteraction”.
This law gives definition to the terrorism and its acts and provides the possibility to imply RF Military Forces against “the flights of the airplanes, intending to commit the act of terrorism act or captured by terrorists”, to prevent the acts of terrorism in the Russian home waters and seas as well as counteract international terrorism outside Russian Federation.
Besides that, the law defines the legal regulations of the counter-terrorism operation, the conditions of its realization and its guiding principles.
The law was adopted by the State Duma on the 26th of February and was approved by the Federal Counsil on the 1st of March. It will be valid (except for 4 parts) FROM `en_the` moment of its publication on the 1st of January 2007.
