Chinese leader invited for G8 2006 summit in St Petersburg

The Chinese leader has been invited to participate in the 2006 G8 summit in St Petersburg.
According to the Russian President Adviser Serguei Prikhodko, the representatives of China and some other states are invited to St Petersburg to participate in the discussions on certain issues of the G8 agenda. He expressed a hope that the China leaders will accept the invitation.
