Leaders of states to discuss Iranian problem, Tomsk authorities to offer investment projects at Russian-German summit in Tomsk

On April 26-27, the 8th round of Russian-German intergovernmental consultations with participation of German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel and Russian President Vladimir Putin will take place in Tomsk. According to Rossiyskaya Gazeta newspaper, dialogue on most actual international problems, like one of the Iranian nuclear dossier, settlement in the Middle East, situations in a number of regional conflicts. Exchange of views will take place on priorities of Russian chairmanship in G8 (international energy security, struggle against infectious diseases, and development of education), at the same time, the fact will be taken into consideration, that later this year the baton will be passed on to immediately following German chairmanship
Additionally, as Russian Foreign Ministry informs, exchange of views on security problems and struggle against international terrorism, organized crime, threat of drug traffic, as well as other challenges, coordinated mainly by joint working top-level group on security problems, will be continued. Traditionally, a lot of attention will be paid during the consultations to development of trade-economic ties, which are the basis and the main driving force of the Russian-German partnership.
Package of bilateral agreements both in interdepartmental section and in one of business structures will have been prepared for talks in Tomsk, FK-Novosti informs.
