WHO director general to visit Russia

MOSCOW. April 26 (Interfax) - World Health Organization Director General Lee Jong Wook is to visit Moscow on Thursday to meet with G8 agriculture ministers to discuss anti-bird flu measures, the UN news service said in a press release on Wednesday.

The meeting will also address further steps to counter the spread of AIDS, malaria, poliomyelitis and other infectious diseases, the release reads.

The WHO head's Moscow visit will be preceded by a trip to Azerbaijan to discuss healthcare reform and the fight against bird flu, it reads.
