26th October: a Seminar on 'The Incitement of Hatred and Ill Will: Legal Means of Counteracting the Danger and Problems in Applying the Law

26 October 2006. The Russian President' s council for human rights and co-operation on the betterment of civil society institutions, in conjunction with the analytical IT centre 'Sova', are conducting a practical science seminar entitled 'The Incitement of Hatred and Ill Will: Legal Means of Counteracting the Danger and Problems in Applying the Law.

The basic aims of the seminar are the elaboration of new initiatives for the production of a legal code applicable to the fight against crimes of blind hatred and ill will committed on the grounds of race, nationalism, language, religious affiliation, as well as the creation of high-quality expertise on criminal and administrative matters relative to the incitement of hatred and ill will.
