Konstantinovsky Palace hosts science ministers’ meeting

An informal meeting of G8 education and science ministers has opened in the Konstantinovsky Palace in Strelna, St. Petersburg suburbia.

The conferees are discussing an extensive range of innovation activities and vocational training issues of shared interest in a free debate format.

Andrei Fursenko, Russia's education and science minister, is representing the host country.

Such ministerial mini summits are held in preparation to a G8 summit that will gather in St. Petersburg, July 15-17. The mini summits gather finance, energy, foreign and other ministers. The recommendations they elaborate are expected to come under the G8 countries leaders' discussion.
