Angola: Moxico - British NGO Trains Waste Management Workers

Angolan civil servants and NGO's workers involved in basic sanitation services started Thursday in Luena, eastern Moxivo province, a seminar on waste management, run by the British NGO "Oxfam".

The three days programme is intended to create mechanisms for elimination of solid wastes in Luena, using local resources.

The seminar will also outline partnerships among personnel working for the provincial department of Energy and Waters, Communitarian Services and NGOs, towards a common ground in the combat of wastes.

Lecturing the event are Oxfam project specialist to Moxico and health counsellor on Hiv/Aids, Manuel Quingani and Afonso Paulo, respectively.
