April 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin met Ella Pamfilova, the Coordinator of the National Working Group of the Civil G8 Project, Chair of the Civil Society Institutions and Human Rights under The President of the Russian Federation.

During the meeting the issues of Russian, foreign and international NGOs coordination with the Group of Eight within the framework of the Russian presidency in G8, as well as the participation of high officials in the Civil G8 activities were discussed.

Vladimir Putin and Ella Pamfilova also discussed the issue of human rights in Russia, particularly, the children rights, the situation in Chechnya, the state support to the citizens - victims of terrorist acts and their social rehabilitation.
