The russian president Vladimir Putin met G8 finance ministers in Moscow

The G9 finance ministers are staying in Moscow within their meeting on the eve of the G8 summit in July in St Petersburg where Russia will preside.

The ministers of finance participating in the meeting represent the G8 states: Great Britain - Gordon Brown, Germany - Peer Schteinbruck, Italy - Jilio Tremonti, Canada - James Flaerty, USA - John Snow, France - Thierry Breton, Japan - Sadakazu Tanigaki, Russia - Alexey Kudrin.

The participants discussed the situation on the world energy, the international efforts against infectious diseases.
