Valentina Matveenko assured of the adequate level of this year G8 Summit in St Petersburg

Governor of the Russian Northern capital, Valentina Matveenko, informed journalists that the preparation for the Summit in St Petersburg was the main topic of her meetings (Tuesday) with the representatives of the USA administration. This topic was discussed with the USA state secretary deputy Robert Zellik.
“We will provide for all the necessary conditions so that the Summit in St Petersburg woul be held on the high level”, - Matveenko promised. She also reminded that St Petersburg is already experienced in receiving a large number of foreign guests, which was the case during the celebration of its 300 anniversary, when the city welcomed several decades of the foreign countries and governments’ leaders.
The Summit will take place on the 15th-17th July this year.
